What is skin pigmentation?

Skin pigmentation refers to a condition which changes the color of your skin tone, often making it darker. It usually affects the cheeks, nose, and forehead. Any form of discolouration or uneven appearance of the skin can be signs of pigmentation.

Skin brightening peels usually contain chemicals that block the formation of melanin pigment by inhibiting the enzyme involved in the formation of pigment, thereby preventing discolouration.
